On Monday, 5th June, ministers and elders from the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster protested outside the annual General Assembly of the ecumenical Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Two matters in particular were the subject of the protesters' objections.

First of all, the Free Presbyterian Church wanted to highlight the fact that the Presbyterian Church has rejoined the World Council of Churches by the back door! By virtue of its membership of the Irish Council of Churches, an associate wing of the World Council of Churches, Irish Presbyterians have been taken back into the hub of ecumenical activity
despite voting in 1980 to withdraw from the World Council of Churches. The ICC has appointed Dr. John McNeill to be its representative on the Central Committee of the WCC and thus the link between the WCC, with its goal of unity with Rome, and the Irish Presbyterian Church is forged again, only this time, how many Presbyterians are aware that they have rejoined it? Ecumenism is seen once more as the promotion of anti-Christian doctrines by lies and subterfuge. It is of the devil, the father of lies and deception.

Secondly, Free Presbyterians were protesting at the presence of the Irish President, Mrs. Mary McAleese, at the Assembly. The Irish Republic has been and still is the storehouse for IRA guns and explosives and has been a refuge from which republican terrorists have launched attacks upon the citizens of Northern Ireland, murdering hundreds of them over the last 30 years. The Irish Republic has also been at the forefront of the present destabilising of Northern Ireland and the imposing of IRA gunmen and gangsters upon the people through the undemocratic "Good Friday Agreement."

It is a time to protest for evil forces are at work as never before to rob us of our gospel heritage.
